Lance E. White he was diagnosed with a heart disease called “Dilated Cardiomyopathy: Virus of the Heart” and got a total artificial heart in 2014.Day-to-day life with TAH was one of routine and grace. My heart was monitored while I participated in activities and enjoyed my family.
Lance received a heart from a donor after having a total artificial heart for two and a half years. He is now 55 years old and works in Medical Sales in addition to running, playing basketball, and exercising regularly. I was able to walk several miles a day to prepare for a successful heart transplant thanks to the TAH.
My experience with the TAH was great and glorious. The technology and science behind the TAH allowed me to live a full life, while bridging to my heart transplant. The ease of use of the TAH allowed me to enjoy my children as well as promote the necessity for this wonderful device. The TAH has been embraced by my family and the families I have counseled as well as made it possible for glory. Besides this, he started this non-profit organization with Johnny; another exTAH patient, to help people who were in the same situation as he was.
